Γνωρίστε τον γιατρό
Ο Δρ. Γεώργιος Χλωρός είναι Ορθοπεδικός Χειρουργός, γεννημένος και μεγαλωμένος στην Αθήνα. Αποφοίτησε από το Κολλέγιο Αθηνών και σπούδασε Ιατρική στο Πανεπιστήμιο της Λιέγης στο Βέλγιο. Στη συνέχεια, απέκτησε ουσιαστική κλινική εμπειρία στην Ορθοπεδική Χειρουργική στο Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) στη Virginia και στο νοσοκομείο ΝΙΜΤΣ στην Αθήνα.
Ακολούθως, μετεκπαιδεύτηκε σε κορυφαία πανεπιστημιακά κέντρα των ΗΠΑ (όπως το Allegheny General Hospital στην Pennsylvania) και της Μεγάλης Βρετανίας (Leeds General Infirmary), νοσοκομεία με ιδιαίτερα υψηλό όγκο προχωρημένων χειρουργείων, συμμετέχοντας ενεργά σε χειρουργεία υψηλών απαιτήσεων και αποκτώντας σε βάθος γνώση στη χειρουργική γόνατος και ισχίου και άκρου ποδός.
Η εντατική τριβή του με μεγάλο όγκο καινοτόμων επεμβάσεων τον οδήγησε να ειξιδικευθεί περαιτέρω σε καινοτόμες τεχνικές, όπως η ρομποτική αρθροπλαστική γόνατος (Robotic TKA) και η εξατομικευμένη αρθροπλαστική γόνατος (patient-specific instrumentation), καθώς και σε ένα ευρύ φάσμα χειρουργείων ποδοκνημικής και άκρου ποδός, και ορθοπεδικού τραύματος προσφέροντας έτσι μια υψηλού επιπέδου, σύγχρονη αντιμετώπιση ακόμη και των πιο απαιτητικών ορθοπεδικών περιστατικών. Επίσης, ο ιατρός πραγματοποιεί και μεγάλο όγκο αναγεννητικών θεραπειών στους ασθενείς που χρήζουν συντηρητικής αντιμετώπισης σε ένα ευρύ φάσμα της ορθοπεδικής.
Ο Δρ. Χλωρός διαθέτει πλήρη άδεια ασκήσεως ιατρικού επαγγέλματος στις ΗΠΑ (Πολιτεία της Pennsylvania, αρ. MD465887) και στη Μεγάλη Βρετανία (General Medical Council, αρ. GMC6049891).
Έχει πραγματοποιήσει εκατοντάδες επιτυχημένες χειρουργικές επεμβάσεις σε ΗΠΑ, Ηνωμένο Βασίλειο και Ελλάδα, με κύρια έμφαση σε:
Αρθροπλαστικές γόνατος και ισχίου (συμπεριλαμβανομένων ρομποτικών & εξατομικευμένων τεχνικών)
Αρθροσκοπικές επεμβάσεις (ώμου, γόνατος)
Τεχνικές αναγεννητικής ιατρικής (Βιολογικές θεραπείες: PRP, βλαστοκύτταρα)
Χειρουργική Ποδοκνημικής και Άκρου Ποδός
Ακαδημαϊκό Έργο & Ερευνητική Πρωτοπορία
Ο Δρ. Χλωρός έχει να επιδείξει ένα ιδιαιτέρως πλούσιο ερευνητικό έργο, με πάνω από 90 πρωτότυπες δημοσιεύσεις σε διεθνή έγκυρα περιοδικά (Annals of Surgery, Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery, Injury, Arthroscopy κ.ά.). Έχει συγγράψει κεφάλαια σε κορυφαία ξενόγλωσσα εγχειρίδια ορθοπεδικής χειρουργικής (συμπεριλαμβανομένου του Green’s Operative Hand Surgery) και έχει παρουσιάσει το έργο του σε πολλά μεγάλα διεθνή συνέδρια, λαμβάνοντας βραβεία και σημαντικές διακρίσεις από κορυφαίους επιστημονικούς οργανισμούς.
